I am new to charelston but have done a lot of fishing in beaufort. I am working down the road from the bushy park landing and am intersted in putting in the yak and doing some fishing. Any advice, is this even a good place to start. I have never boated or fished in charleston and am looking for any adive.

Good place to fish, especially if its close to home or work. I use miinnows and grubs and usually catch a fish. Picked up 2 reds, 2 flounder, 1 trout, and a catfish today just after lowtide. I like a couple spots in the river, but mostly fish in the creeks on the right heading out.

went out this morning catching only 1sm trout. Big red broke me off after 5minute fight… (heartbreaking!)
Went out of Bushy today - caught one redfish (17")on a minnow. Saw a bunch of trout & got some hits on a Gulp worm, but none in the boat…Also saw my first gator of the year
