Where ya wanna go Bill… My youngest has her b-day party in the afternoon but an EARLY fishing trip is doable… gimme a buzz here or at nikonjedi@sckayakfishing.com

I landed 2 flounder while beer got a trout and spottail with first trip in new yak. I believe he learned a few lesson after getting swamped stuck in this cove as tug came by. Good times depite the heat. Going out Wed. afternoon if anyone would like to join me.

Tuesday morning at the ville launching around 7AM… Thursday afternoon/evening at Paradise landing… Firday… dunno… depends on how much gas I have left

cutmullet,
I have to ask, not having yaked in heavily traveled areas with tugs.
What should “beers” have done? Moved to open waters and pushed bow first into the swells?

Also, anyone ever yak in the Dewee’s Creek area just up from IOP marina? It looks promising. Tough currents or not so bad?

Thanks,
nw
Working but thinkin about fishin

It’s better to float on top of waves than have them break on top of you.
I haven’t yakked in Dewee’s but there are trout and reds there. I went on an inshore charter with one of my key suppliers a couple of weeks ago and had a blast in that area. We caught some nice over the slot fish in wind and rain.

So much water, So little time

Don’t know what happened to buzz, but if you have a wave coming your way, turn into it and paddle, as long as your paddle is in the water it add stability to your kayak. Just watch someone in the surf…a lot of people will take there paddle out of the water when a wave hits…bad move. They have now given the wave control of there boat(as it turns sideways). Better have a strong brace.
