Bushy

Fished low tide at Bushy Park on Sunday
Water was 90 degrees in the creeks and 88 towards the main channel. Way to early for such high temps.

Fished 6 hours and two of us managed 4 bass, 1 small flounder and 1 small trout.

Moved around a good bit, had company in town and was trying to get my friend on his first redfish.

Bait was thick in the creeks but saw little to no predator activity. Thinking it may be to hot and they were holding off in deeper water for some relief.

Saw several boats working the main channel, assuming they were thinking the same thing.

In protest, we went home and fired up the grill.

I love catching bass in the brackish too! Fun times but I agree on hot water having the spot tail pushed out…

So what goes on the protest grill anyway?

We fished Sunday. Very slow day. Got 1 red on a curly tail shallow and found a school deep. Caught 6 total on a 10 hour trip.

Chicken Breasts soaked over night in Jack Daniel’s Honey Teriyaki Marinade In-A-Bag.

Chicken was thick so it took longer than expected to reach 165 degrees. Was worried they would be dry but turned out well.

Hydro, how deep were they?

They were 6-10 foot down on the edge of a flat at low tide
