buying a boat - where do you look?

I am trying to sell my 17’ CC Aquasport right now, debating if buying a boat trader ad is worth it, especially with craigslist being free.

When you look to buy a boat, where do you look?

if anyone is interested, here’s my craigslist ad: http://charlotte.craigslist.org/boa/2418404152.html

Thanks!

Craigslist and boatrader.com, but I have sold one on eBay. Include good PICTURES!

I would try Craigslist first. It’s free and it works. I bought my boat and my truck from Craigslist ads. I can’t tell you how many I missed out on because when I contacted the seller just a few hours after posting they already had someone coming to look at it. Loosewire is right. Got to have pictures.

The Hull truth, craigslist and the carolina trader have all sold boats for me.

i sold my old boat on CL Charleston and i got so many calls it was annoying.

Have you sold it already? A guy on my sports board is looking to get a boat, thought I’d pass yours along.

depends on the boat really, if you are selling a boat for less than $5k, i would just stick to craigslist. however, if it is much more than that, it may be worth it to get it on boattrader for more exposure.

also post it on this site and thehulltruth.com is a good one as well.

The CL buyers are looking for a super bargain. The other buyers are just looking for a steal. CL is fast if your priced right.
