Gave up on that place a long time ago! Way to many illegal Hispanics and idiots down there. It shouldn’t be long before they start moving up though.

I think the Congaree/Saluda run should improve this year. DNR has been putting a lot of striper in there. With the new regulations it should be getting better and better every year.

I don’t want a cure niether! ! Boy I love that that treatment.!! I’ve been striper fishing for 30+ years and I still can’t get enough. Used to fish buzzard roost when I was a kid. Caught a 10lb fish in that current and was hooked! Been thinking about bumping elbows and loosing bucktails just to see if I could do it one more time! Shoot man I know how to cuss in mexican!

Man the DNR needs to get down there and check liscences and limits.
There is only 2 wardens in Laurens county and they are ran ragged. As far as I know only 2 in Greenwood. Just another example of the example capitol hill portrays. But hey! I fish I don’t fret. Lol As a outdoorsman I try to keep it up and up.

The best way to fish it is in a boat, but the last 2 years it has been imposable to get there with the low water. I hope this spring there will be enough! Last week ran from Hollands to above Saluda river resort in my Glassmaster whith the 250, no problem, but a lot of floating debris and a few good sized floating logs, Water was cold and only a few keepers on cut bait. I think we are gona need a few more weeks of warm weather!The bank fishing can be brutal with standing sholder to sholder crossing lins and them geting hung on bottom. I just get mad and go get a cold one! Most people there think if it is big enough to bite it is big enough to keep.
I remember someone said to me, you like popcorn shrimp don’t you? I know what you mean though.After reading all these replies I think i’ll stay right here in my reflections of the past Lol. I used to pitch a tent down there and fish 4 days straight and see only a few people. I got four gizzards out right now in some hard weather so I ain’t scared! Lol just older
