BX Sea Hunt boats

Great looking rig.Check them out at the Boat show today.See Al or Daniel. The 150 yammy is perfect for my rig I got last year.I have the XP 21 and it is a great flats rig.

I hav the XP 19 and love it. Really wish I would of got the XP 21 though. Those exta two feet would be great.

XP’s look sweet, then again i’m a little bias towards most sea hunt boats:sunglasses:

I have the new BX22BR with the new F200 Yamaha and it is SWEET!

I should have picked the bx up but the deal Daniel gave me on the XP was reeeel good.It was the demo boat and had 2 hours on it.LOve this boat it lets me out of my creek on low tide.Tilt the motor a little and putt putt right out to the deeper water.

Sea Hunt makes a really good boat for the price. It is not cheap by any means.Still compared to what i have looked at it is a buy.Plus Seels gives me outstanding service.Need parts call Nancy. It is a done deal.

I just got back from the boat show and I looked long and hard at the BX22. For the price the seahunts are the most bang for the buck. I also looked at the sportsman’s and pathfinders. There were a bunch of different bay boats there, but where you can really see the detail is when you look at the trim tabs. If they don’t have them or they have the cheap versions, I ain’t wasting my time looking much farther.

Oh, if you see some drool frozen to the Shearwater outside, you know where it came from!

Anyone have any experience with hull repairs on Sea Hunt boats? I am a big fan of these boats, but a friend of mine just bought a larger Sea Hunt and he has had cracks in the console and now in the hull at one of the cleats. Both times Sea Hunt refused to do a factory repair and sent him to a local fiberglass guy that did a crappy job. Kind of shocked since Ranger and Key West will repair their own hulls.

not all that uncommon for smaller repairs to be “subbed out” to a shop close to where the boat is. Several manufactures do this.

The factory was closer than the “shop”.

He called them and requested for them to do the repair and they said they don’t repair their own boats.

oh, ok, that doesn’t make alot of sense.

That says a lot about a boat manufacturer…

If you ain’t hooked, you ain’t doing it right.

Will Sea Hunt repair spider cracks in the gell coat around stress points and chips cause by bubbles under the glass? Is that part of the 10 year hull warranty? I’ve got a few chips on the deck where the glass didn’t meet the gell coat and a few areas on the gunnel where stress cracks have shown up. Some around rod holders and one big one just in the middle of nowhere.
