C-LEVEL 5-24 a little south

We took out a great group of guys out today on a beautiful ocean, until the front came through. The long and short was that we picked at the dolphin thru out the day with the best fish to come last, a 40+ pound bull on a triple hookup. We ended up with a box of good size dolphin with a couple of slingers in there too. We started in about 180’ and fished our way offshore to 1300’. There wasn’t much to fish on, just a few little edges here and there with no grass on them. We found a good edge in 480’ with grass on it late in the day, thats where we caught our last triple. The guys did a great job with the rods and didn’t lose a single hookup all day. I don’t have to tell anyone that was out how the ride home was but for those that weren’t, it seemed a little like the deadliest catch looks, not really that bad but I do hope everyone made it in alright.

C-level, where you fishing south/west of the 226! Because we were fishing in that area as well. Ending the day with 12 nice mahi. We went back to edisto banks just after 3pm to see if we could find a hoo, but to no avail. The the sea’s as you mentioned got very “sporty”. I’d have to say we saw more white on the ocean surface that blue! It go’s to show you how fast the sea conditions can change for the worst in just minutes. Just made it back in time to weight our fish in, to win the mahi portion of the tournament. Started out with 4 on the boat and ended up with 4 and believe me we were all very happy to be back on the hill.

Yes, thats where we were fishing. We didn’t get a wahoo bite all day. I think I saw you around mid morning. Glad to hear you made it in safe and good going on the big fish. Hope to see you out there again soon.
