cable televison

PC Setup
Needed - PC and Internet connection</font id=“blue”>
Download KODI (Windows version) and install Aries Wizard. Run Aries Wizard and install a ‘build’ (Plenty of YouTube videos showing you how to install)

TV SetUp
Needed - TV w/hdmi port and Amazon Fire Stick and Internet connection</font id=“blue”>
Hardware – Amazon Fire Stick (This HDMI WiFi device is preferred because you can install your own apps.)
KODI- Streaming Software (Android version)
Install Aries Wizard-Program with many builds from people around the world. Each build has a different appearance and menu setup. I would just select the most popular and go with it.
Amazon account is needed to operate the Fire Stick. Just a basic free account. Amazon Prime is not needed. You are just using the Fire Stick to use the app KODI.

Note: You can buy preloaded Fire Sticks on Ebay if you don’t want to brother installing yourself.

They say that you can view anything within 24 hours of being Broadcast. Also, there are some live streaming sports channels. Movies that are still in the theater. It’s free and much better than Netflix and Amazon Prime and includes all of their channels.

If you ain’t hooked, you ain’t doing it right.

I’ll bet $100 you never do this…

May all your favorite bands stay together…

Internet is the kicker. I went without cable for about 9 years, and just recently added it back last year. It cost about $35 extra month to have cable. We also have Netflix, but only the kids watch it. Occasionally we will watch a comedy show on it. Like Bo Bunham that just came out, you have to check it out. Probably not humor for the masses, you have to have a certain sense of humor. And put on CC because he talks fast and you will miss some great stuff.

I digress, I added cable so the kids can get Disney. Dad of the year right there. I watch football in the fall/winter, and golf channel spring/summer. That is all I pay for cable for. Disney, ESPN, Golf Channel, and local channels.

The KODI builds are set up similar to Netflix and Amazon Prime. I watched the 2nd season of the Netflix series , Bloodline, the day it came out. The movie and TV series selection is awesome.

I would suggest downloading Kodi on a PC if you have any worries just to see how it works and what is available. You’ll be amazed. Most have dumped cable or dish around here. I have 2 tv’s with Firesticks and one PC running on basic TW internet with no problems streaming.

Forgot to mention that it also has adult channels but you may not be interested in those.

thanks for all this duesouth

kodi came out with a box this week, or at least a pi cover http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2016/6/23/12018390/kodi-raspberry-pi-case-for-streaming-media-box

we binge watched bloodline and burnt thru the whole new season quickly. good show.

Everyone needs to research downloading bit torrents…My buddy has slowly been teaching me the process and as long as you have internet you never pay for tv shows or movies all in blue ray/ 1080i quality and as far as the sports goes that’s what 12 packs and a friends house are for.
