Cabo Fishing Report – Multiple Dorado on the 35’ Riviera Blue Water

Multiple dorado rewarded a full day of searching the Pacific offshore grounds on September 22, 2026. Cody, visiting from Vancouver, British Columbia, fished an eight-hour charter aboard the 35-foot Riviera Blue Water with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing and Tours. Captain Oscar ran a mobile trolling program from Cabo San Lucas, using a dredge while working water temperatures around 87–88°F.

Cabo Fishing Charter Covers Offshore Water

This wasn’t a charter built around sitting on one piece of bottom or repeatedly working a single location.

Captain Oscar kept Blue Water moving.

The offshore program involved trolling while searching for the visual indicators that can lead crews toward dorado—working birds, bait activity, floating material and changes in the surface.

A dredge ran as part of the presentation, providing the appearance of a larger bait concentration below the boat’s trolling spread.

As productive water was located, the effort converted into multiple dorado for Cody.

Cabo Yacht Fishing Numbers Tell the Story

The eight-hour duration gave this trip considerable search flexibility.

Compared with a five-hour charter, the full-day schedule provided three additional hours. That’s 60% more scheduled charter time available for finding offshore fish.

Water temperature was another major statistic.

At approximately 87–88°F, Cody was fishing Pacific water vastly different from what he normally sees around Vancouver. Cabo’s warm September conditions provided the tropical environment associated with dorado and other pelagic species.

On this particular day, dorado dominated the catch.

Fishing Report Charter Results

The final combination was simple: one angler, one 35-foot Riviera, Captain Oscar, eight hours offshore and multiple dorado.

No other game-fish species were logged.

That made September 22 less about building a long species list and more about successfully locating the day’s primary fish.

Captain Oscar used the available time to keep searching rather than depending on a single area. For Cody, that persistence delivered multiple dorado and a distinctly Cabo-style offshore fishing experience in water approaching the upper 80s.
