I’ve tried searching for info but have come up empty. So thanks in advance for the help. I’ll be headed to cabo on feb 7th for a week with a group of friends. We are trying to book a charter for 2-3 days and are looking for recommendations from fellow cf members. Preferably going after striped marlin and maybe rooster fish one day.

I have not fished every boat in Cabo obviously but the Pisces fleet is the most consistent fleet that I’ve fished with. http://www.piscessportfishing.com/

Renegade Mike! Tell him you want to do some bottom fishing on the way in from trolling. Caught a nice yellowtail and a grouper after catching two stripes. Fresh yellowtail sushi pretty hard to beat. He’s a salty guy that’s knows a heck of a lot about fishing.

Thanks for all the info. Guess I should’ve been a little more clear regarding where I did my searching. I prefer to take advice and recommendations from local people that hopefully fish regularly versus a group that was satisfied with a handful of peanut dolphins.

If you want to do a roosterfish trip, fish out of San Jose Del Cabo. Not far from cabo San Lucas. La Playita fleet. Or go to the east cape or La Paz. Most of the La Paz boats leave from Bahia de las mortes on the east coast of baja. Which is close to somse great rooser spots.
There is nothing like the site of giant roosterfish crashing bait right at the shore. In some cases you’re better off getting off of the boat and fishing from shore.
Depending on how much time you have down there, you may be just as well off just going down to Cabo and finding a boat when you get there. The Pisces fleet is the largest and most well known. But there are many others.

Just got back from cabo. We fished two days with Pisces’s Valerie, a 33 Bertram. We had a great trip. First day we went 0-2 on stripe marlin and caught 5 dolphin 15-20lbs. The second day we went 2-2 on stripes and one dolphin. Captain and crew were great. I would definitely recommend fishing with them and will definitely book them when I return to cabo.
