Lord only knows I’m far from one. Got a 70 evinrude that runs good except when it sits a while or idles a while. Idling along and give it the gas and the thing bogs. You have to double or triple pump the throttle to make it go. Same thing if you run somewhere and the sit for a little while. Other than that it is run baby run. Any and all idea’s welcome.
Thanks,

Starving for fuel. Replace fuel water separator, replace fuel line assembly, make sure fuel isn’t old. Run seafoam to clean carbs. That’s a start.

Thanks U S.

Something that happened to me one time was the vent was not open on the tank.I felt real stupid for not looking at it when I filled up.
The bulb on the line could be colapsing[sp] and not letting the gas get to the carbs.

Double D.

Checked the vent on the tank and it was open. The bulb is always soft when this occurs. Not sucked flat, just soft. Thinking bout cleaning the carbs. At one point it was running and then acted like it was running out of gas and bogged way down. let it idle along in gear with a little throttle applied and it started acting like it wanted to pick back up.

I thought all 2 strokes ran like this

if you have a choke button on your key switch. push it in when this happens if the motor increases then you need to clean your carbs if the motor boggs out when you choke it , the carbs are doing their job

if the bulb is always soft when this happens, the engine is probably starving for fuel
fuel pump
pin hole leak in the fuel line or tank connector
(it wont leak gas, because its a vacuum leak)
