Went out for cobia Saturday and found a dead ocean nearshore. I didn’t feel like burning the fuel to run to the ledge so I took the opportunity to get my girlfriend some experience at the helm nearshore. Beautiful ocean and we were able to run at 40kts in any direction. Clear water for being so close to shore which was nice. I haven’t seen it that calm all year and it was a very relaxing time on the water.

You have to deal with a NE wind today? That’s the only reason I didn’t go, plus the fact they were calling for 3-5 ft outside the 20 miles range. Saw the Edisto bouy info this afternoon and looked like it was nice out there.

Really nice in there, really ugly at the hole. Got out there by 8am, had to pull and run in by 1pm. Got a bit scary. Totally changed in and out about 25 miles from the Gtown jetties.
