Calmest day ever

Left dock by 4 sat. hoping to get an early start. Nice ride out and lines in by 6:40. Trolled till 1230 with no luck heading all the way out to bubble rock. Picked up one peanut which unceremoniously puked up a whole flying fish on me before I threw him back. Had some sort of bird try to eat my ballyhoo which hooked us our second catch of the day. Another release. We decided to head to the house and happened across a sea turtle with a couple remora hangin out. Stopped to check it out and noticed a school of dolphin. Started biting first cast. One bull 25-30lbs and a few peanuts later we put lines in for another hour or so before runnin in 40+ the whole way. Couldn’t find much in the way of weedlines, everything scattered. Now I believe the old timers that it can be too calm. Talked to a buddy and it sounds like I shoulda headed south. Always next weekend.

seems like anywhere we saw turtles and remoras there were dolphin.

Those are good signs of lively bottom! Fish usually appear too
