Any interest?
Church island on the upper lake. Thinking a Friday afternoon till Saturday night. Which Friday, I hope to do this within a few weeks.
Looks like a good row. Is there a sandy beach there? Tried to camp out near Bowen’s Island a week ago and there were so many bugs I used up two cans of off spray and finally high-tailed it for home at 2 am. I looked like I had some sort of skin condition for several days afterward… I think the bank here was pretty muddy and I was back up in the woods a bit so that probably contributed to it…
Nice looking beach from what I have seen. A local group just camped there with a bunch of people and from what I heard didnt have any issues. I camped on Chimney a few months back and had a good stay.
I’ve camped there 3 or 4 times and the “sites” are nice(good swimming area). Fish for catfish right from the bank and bream/bass around the entire island, but don’t get there late… its a well known camping spot. We always went on Friday morning.
