canoe anchor

whats the best type of anchor for a canoe?

for the skinny, a stakeout pole works best, use an old ski pole or make one. for a tad deeper water, the smallest cajun anchor works well. look at the system on the Native boats, the pulley. it works great to position the boat an can be added as an add-on. either loop an anchor line through the ring, or simply stab the pole through. awesome, quick and quiet. talk to dave at timeout, he can help with install and details.

What he said… Stake out pole is a must!!!

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. </font id=“size2”>

I have a couple of homemade cajuns. 1/2"x5’ stainless. Worked great on a 16’ skiff and my canoe. The ring idea sound like the trick in shallows. Might have to rig me one to stake out with. Had been tying on to a cross arm. Had seen it before actually but, never thought about doing on my canoe. Great idea.
