I’ve been using a carolina rig with 3 .oz egg 28" floro leader and 1/0 circle hook with mm, frozen shrimp and cut mullet. I can’t catch a fish! Have tried at Breach Inlet, at the the Cove at Moultre and just beach while the wife sunned. At both places set up and hr before low and fished until 2 hrs after low. I would love to catch some reds and flounder, any thoughts/ suggestions on how to change my luck???
I don’t know anything about the places where you’re fishing; however, I would shorten my leader to no more than 12" or less and go with a smaller weight.

Huntfish…seems u r fishing from land…this time of year sharks r everywhere esp.from the beach…try and get live bait…either buy or throw cast net(dont no if u have exp. in net tossing though) if cant get live bait then use frozen squid/shrimp at beach try around rocks if can…spottail and Flounder are mostly caught…or I should say percentages are better to catch them in the fall months unless you have a boat…small shark eat good if you prepare then correctly
Get some live menhaden or finger mullet, change to a 1oz. weight, and try fishing some other spots. I don’t fish from shore much, but some places that come to mind where I know there are fish are the dock at the old Navy Base, the new park in Mt. P, Brittlebank, the old bridge. Hope this helps.
