If I am counting right, we got Patrick,Rockfish,5151, and me confirmed. I need to know by next weekend, If any others are going, so I can change the # of campers on permit. (I got 6 listed)
I’m going up next weekend to check on the fish bite and the parking situation, at the private residence, beside Moores ldg. How bout we all meet at the ldg. about daylight Saturday.
Gonna bring a couple coolers and firewood, and my yak in jonbot. I should be able to haul some your drinks if needed.

Where is Moore’s landing? If we are talking about Capers why not just put in at Station Creek & run through trunkards?
yeah, when kroldawg fell out it was kinda funny, i wont leave it alone everytime i talk to him, that was his first time ever fishing from a yak, i couldnt make up my mind to save him or the 6lb trout on my line, i chose the trout, luckily for me he popped out the water

Sorry I missed your call yesterday. I’m landlocked in piedmont NC and went after some lake stripers yesterday. An osprey I observed was more successful than Lewis and his 3 kayak fishing partners. Looking forward to next weekend. Any suggestions for our targets and appropriate tackle? As you may have noticed, I’m new to your area and my query is a compliment to your expertise.

Whats the game plan for the weekend? Scott the landing at moores how far of a paddle is that is it as tide dependant as copahee ? Thinking about having my wife bring my son out in the afternoon and pick him up somewhere.
Scot, I’m guessing about an hr. paddle from the landing to island. Tides don’t look that big and you could ride the tide out in the morning and back in, in the afternoon. Plus we got he motorboat there, shouldn’t be a problem to take him back.

Rockfish, if you can’t find someone to paddle out to island with… you interested in riding in boat with me from Wild Dunes? We could tow them out… just take a little longer.
In case ya’ll don’t know, bring the long tent spikes they sell at walmart. The short ones don’t work very well in the sand. Anyone got concerns, give me a call at 557 6637.
I’m planning on eating canned food by fire. Will have a cooler you can use ta keep beer cold.
edit: forgot, my buddy caught a 24" or so trout on top-water yesterday at Bushy!
