Was told that it was damaged by Matthew and is no longer useable. Has anybody seen it?
Last time I saw it dock was still there but the boardwalk that connects it to the island is knocked off the stilts…

Do you remember how long ago that was?
We just boated there yesterday, didnt go onshore though, and dont know nothing about any dock.
Haven’t been up that way since mid march but I am sure it hasn’t been repaired yet…

I remember back in 1989, they built a nice cabin on the back of the island for the fulltime caretaker to stay in. Then along came Hugo. No money to speak of has been available to manage that place since. FEMA may front the money to replace/repair the dock at some point but that process is painfully slow.
Ive been a Capers guy since high school growing up in Mt. P, many beers drank and memories made there.
