Capers Reef March 18th and 19th.

Fished for some sheepshead and they were biting good both days. Caught about 30 each day. Most were decent fish 3-5 lbers. Had one 8, 7, and 6 lbs. Went through a ton of fiddlers.
The underwater camera made it a little harder since I wanted to be precise on the anchor. Some spots on the structure were loaded with sheeps and other parts only had a few fish here and there. Lost at least as many as we caught and my clients were victims of the bait stealing convicts.

Ocean was nice each day and water temp. was 55 degrees. In the next few weeks they should bite better.

If anyone is interested intereested in getting on some nice sheepshead and using the underwater camera, give me a call. It makes anchoring on the fish a little different since you can see what is on a particular structure before you set up to fish.

Good post Capt. I was the yellow Pathfinder out there on Friday. Travis told me later we had setup on the spot you wanted to fish. Sorry about that, just dumb luck I picked that spot. Heard you got them after we left. I am interested in a camera. What would you recommend.

Why sorry? You were there first right?

Do you really want to know? Were you there? Why would you post that question?

well done captain!

we tried the nearshore on friday and didn’t find them with our amateur skill set and lack of cameras. looking forward to them returning to the pilings… narrows my search window a bit

We made it out Saturday. Kept 6 sheeps and about a dozen bsbs. We could have probably bagged a few more but my anchoring job needs much practice

sorry
Props to Capt Buddy
You took me fishin with some friends on Murray a couple of New Years days ago
Nice boat and equipment
Cold but fun learning experience
Still wish I could remember how to tie that sweet little knot you used for the extra hook
; )

I have an Atlantis brand. It has a nice waterproof case and 100 ft. of cord.

It is a black and white model.

It works well for me so far. I have used it about 2 dozen times in the ocean and inshore.

Jazzed. Good to here from you again. Here is a link on Youtube that shows how to tie my ‘stinger hook’ rig. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXg7TTMkyS8

Robert - Thanks for the info on the camera.

Good video! I seen that one on the SCOTL forum.
