weatherman missed the forecast today…snotty…choppy…cold…but a great day to play hookie from work and go fishing…showed up at IOP Marina with 12qts of fids, 1lb of squid, 2 Red Bulls and 49 Miller Lites…Capt Fritz had hosed down the entire dock and his boat trying to make me slip and fall in the water but I had the crampons on just to be sure…after dodging delayed snowbirds and quartering seas we roll up to Fritz’s fav spot only to feel like we were trying to set a round anchor in jello…finally the $2.50 happy hooker anchor found a tight spot and we started to drown some fiddlers, laughed at the stripper who made $100k on Howard Stern and schooled some BSBs and sheeps…good time and made it home safe…kept 2 sheeps of the 12 or so we caught, biggest was Fritz’s 94 pounder…mine was a tad smaller at 76lbs…were too lazy to weigh them for any kind of record…thanks for the trip Fritz and hope your weekend guests don’t eat or drink as much as mine plan on doing!
