Captain in search of boat

Charleston folks! After over a decade of traveling around, I am returning to SC in the middle of September to be close to family. I am a 2010 Citadel grad with a 100T Master license looking for a full time permanent Captain position based out of Charleston SC. I have run charter fishing boats up to 45’ and COI vessels up to 50’/35 tons/49 pax full time since 2011 in the lower FL Keys, SE Alaska and the USVI. I have experience managing a charter business with 2 offshore fishing boats running 1100+ trips annually and a 49 pax COI boat with thousands of charter guests each year which I was part owner of.

I am open to a mate position with the upward mobility towards captaining for the right program. While I do have plenty of experience, I certainly do not know everything and am very interested in learning as much as I can. I have plenty of references who can attest to my professionalism, integrity, positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, customer service and seamanship skills.

My goal is to home base between Georgetown and Hilton Head to be close to family but I am open to travel and comfortable living out of a gear bag.

Please spread the word if you know of anyone looking for a captain or have any suggestions!

I might have a need, based near Beaufort.

Text 406-366-3217 and we can set a time if you would like to discuss.

Thanks.

Now we’re talking. Rap, you’d be a big fish in much smaller pond down there too.

I know Chops just left Edisto too, so there’s probably a lot of mercenary work down that way as well.

just a thought…

Messaging you now. Thank you.
