Might have a two piece collapsible 15ft option if the clamps are as good as I’m told. I ordered some to try.

To have the internal rigging, they’ll have to be fixed length though. I’ll probably do both ways and live with a little less stiffness with the collapsible but not bad since only one joint.

I have been advised to finish what I’ve got going on and post pics before posting prices, but I wanted to let everybody know that I am working on em still…

Got plenty of this stuff too now.

If you need an extra test boat, let us know!

Sounds like a cool project, making the “wheel” better is always an option if you really want it.

Here’s where I am…

I have found a good company to custom build the tubes that I want, and it will be another 2-3 weeks before I receive shipment. They worked with me to do exactly the modulus and layup schedule I wanted as long as I purchased enough of the things. What I have been playing with is various types of plain tubing without the nice looking twill finish on the outside as the last layer. What I have ordered is the same stuff but with the nice twill carbon fiber exterior look. They will look like what you think of when you think of carbon fiber. They do controlled oven curing, etc. and I am pretty confident they’re the best at what they do. They have about 5 engineers on staff and supply stuff to some major companies.

It also took me a little while to get the hardware all sorted out. After getting 1 or backordered from a half a dozen vendors, I ended up going straight to several manufacturers or their reps to get what I needed since it isn’t normal stuff that other people buy from vendors. I have a decent stock of stuff on hand now I think.

At any rate, I wanted to post instead of replying to everyone individual who have messaged or called.

Edit:

Reworking the retractable outrigger pole options that fit Taco, Rupp and Tigress mounts most people have on their boats. I’m trying to listen to what people are telling me as far as collapsed and extended lengths are concerned- while not having 5,000 different expensive parts laying around.</font id=“red”>

This stuff below will fit on boats that don’t have any outrigger bases at all. The mounts I came up with will come with these, and as you can see, are basically getting thrown in for free when you compare with other carbon fiber center rigger poles or outrigger poles.

10ft carbon fiber center rigger (collapses to 6.5ft)
with mount
$490.00

14ft carbon fiber outriggers (collapse to 8.5ft)
with mounts
$990.00

you pick your mounting choice for the 10ft center rigger or the 14ft riggers of

How does the internal rigging come out on the base end? Have a picture?

I think 14’ is too short. I’d want 17’.

I’m interested in seeing a finished product. Any chance you will have something before May 1st? New boat will be completed around that time frame. I told Scott to order Bly 24’ poles & I also want a 10-15’ center rigger. All three riggers will be ran from a Rupp z30 base.

Boat will be trailered so the outriggers must collapse

The 14ft poles above would mount with lighter duty mounting bases that come with them. Just an affordable option for folks starting from scratch who might not have justification to spend as much on mounts and 1 1/2" diameter based poles.

Will definitely be ready by May, and can do for Rupp Z30’s no problem. I have plenty bases machined for Taco and Tigress 1 1/2" bases, and I am having sleeves for Rupps made now.

you pick your mounting choice for the 10ft center rigger or the 14ft riggers of either:
-a thru-bolt pad for mounting on hard top,
-1.25-1.5" round pipe mount (for t top frame),
-1.25-1.85" round pipe mount, OR
-2-2.5" round pipe mount

Here’s one of the center riggers I have made out of the plain carbon fiber tubing. This tubing is cheaper but doesn’t have the carbon fiber look that I’ve chosen to go with. Just cosmetics, but I think the extra cost is worth it.
The 14ft and 10ft center riggers that come with their own mounts just have one joint whereby they retract.

im highly interested in the 1 piece poles and mounts. do you have any pics of said mounts? will they be adjustable at all?

can you swim 5 miles? “NO” then what is the difference in 5 miles and 50 miles!!! Go for it!

Wes, this reply makes you dead even with Swimming With Whatever’s Out There.

An option for the 10ft center rigger is also a rod holder mount.

Fully adjustable mounts. PM sent.

Those look great Phin. I’ll definitely be looking you up when I purchase a boat. I know your detail to quality first hand.

I’ll have pics of a set of fixed length poles with internal rigging ready for someone who put down a deposit soon.
