Carolina River Hounds

Wanted to hit the water again today since I had a day off from work. Ate breakfast, loaded up the yaks, get a call from SCE&G and knew the inevitable happened after vicious storms last night. 2600cfs is a bit much for me.

I have enjoyed fishing stained water after light rainfall because of how it affects the striper hunting tactics. Love tossing out a saluda sardine and seeing it tailwalk the surface within a few seconds followed by POOMYAHSPLSHHHHH

Caught a couple keeper healthy hounds yesterday. Notice the chocolate milk I was floating in. Made the battles particularly interesting with hidden snags. My buddy Harris managed some on a fly despite the muck.

As for the past few weeks with clear water, here are some other notable mentions.

Before I forget, gotta pay homage to the majestics for watching over my spots.
