I recently found this site and am making my first post. I am finally making the transition from a Jon boat to a center console and am looking at the Carolina skiff DLVs. I like their ability to get skinny and fit a lot of people on board. Does anyone have experience with the DLV series in the Charleston harbor? I’ve read a lot of reviews stating that choppy water will beat you up. Im sure slowing down and navigating the chop will help limit the damage. I’d mainly do a lot of backcountry and river fishing but would like to venture out to the jetties on the calmer days.
My alternative option is a deeper V (I’ve checked out some tidewaters and nauticstar sports).
