Can anyone give me an opinoin or info on the Carolina SkiffJVX 16? Hanckel has them on sale right now for $13,995. I mosltly stay in the creeks and flats and go by myself quite often. Thinking about selling my bigger bayboat and getting something I can handle easier by myself and get into shallower water. Need to stay in this price range.

My neighbor has one and he is very happy with it.He took me in the boat 2 days after he got it and I found it to be a nice riding boat,the layout is fair and the ride is semi-dry[driver error].

For $14,000 what kind of motor and extras? I bought a J 16 in 1992 for $1,390.00 and still use it every week. I dont take care of it at all< It has big chunks out of it from beating on docks and rocks! Great boat, I think it will out last my great grand children!
There is some guy with that boat w/ tiller 40 suzuki and poling platform…and that thing looks like a SWEET ride…solid boat, plenty of room…I’m sure it is not the skinniest of boats but it will get plenty shallow.
