I hope everyone gets the chance to come out and see the new boat that two lowcountry natives have created. Cast and blast boats are the perfect inshore boat for hunting and fishing. You have not seen another boat like this. Brooks “Osweld” Oswald and Paul Speights have put their heads together to build us the ultimate heavy duty inshore aluminum boat. Stop by our booth at the show, we would be happy to show you why this boat cannot be touched by anything else in its class. We will be showing both the tiller model and the center console model. See you at the boat show.
Didn’t make it to the show. Did anyone catch a price for either of these models?

I didn’t look at the price because I wasn’t interested in buying one, but I did look them over thoroughly and they look solid. Could be a great alternative to the microskiffs some people like so much.

I think $17k for tiller with a 40
$22k for console steering with a 70. Please correct if wrong.
Thanks!

I stopped by the Hanckel location and took a look at this boat after I heard someone talking about it at one of the tackle-shop booths. Nice boat. Solid. 8-gauge aluminum throughout (1/8"). It can go shallow and has a flats-style layout, but not too prissy to get dirty on some sheepshead or oyster pickin’. Foam in the hull to dampen the sound, and if I’m not mistaken, some in the sides for added floatation. Good-looking (unlike myself) and neat overall. It has sort of an industrial or heavy-duty look to it.

It looks heavy as a tank, but I was surprised at how light it was. 400ish pounds? Can’t recall exactly, but I do remember being surprised. Cool boat, kudos to them for making something different. My impression was that it would be quite noisy on a flat.

600lbs hull on CC, plus motor, gas, battery etc. Pretty awesome little boats. We use our aluminum boats for tailers pretty regularly in the summer and I haven’t noticed any fish spooking due to noise.
They also mentioned a blind for hunting.
Some constructive ■■■■■■■■ as I liked the boats. The remote steer boat had a good welding job, but the tiller boat looked horrible in comparison.

I actually asked them about the boats looking different and the guys from the factory said the tiller boat is their demo that they will sell now. It is as strong as all the others they built but has been run and used for testing. The welding looked great just had more wear on it. Plus they have a special price on the demo.
