Old cast iron is one of those things that is imitated, but never recreated. I’d love to find an old Griswold No 20 that wasn’t $300+.

I had a friends wife give me 2 cast iron skillets the have no name on them! The only marking is on the bottom and says (14A). They measure 13 1/2 inches across in the bottom and 15 inches at the top outside rim! She is the School District Cafeteria manager and they were found when they were replacing old stoves and ovens! No telling how long they were there! On one had ever seen them before and some of those ladies had been working there 30 years! But, I got them now:smiley::wink:

The Ladson flea market normally has one seller with a large selection of old cast iron pans. Good frying?
