Just wanted to pass along details for Cast It Forward (benefitting Release Over 20) 4/29/23,11am-5pm Firefly Distillery (North Charleston). Tickets are $30, kids 12 and under free.
In addition, we are raffling off a Native Slayer Propel Max 10’ fishing kayak and have an online auction with a bunch of fishing charters (local and regional) and gear, don’t need to be present to win for either.
Think I can speak for Dave (Optiker) and Kerry (Charleston Inshore Fishing) when say that we value this site and everyone on it (even the haters!). And while we are looking to raise $ from this event, our hope is that the content and fishing meet up is worth more than the cost of the ticket.
In terms of the $, at present we are entirely volunteer run so anything raised goes to the mission. With the funds we are hoping to recoup the cost of exhibiting at ICAST this July, to raise awareness and get more sponsors/gear for our giveaways. Also we want to create and develop our own app to make entering fish as easy as possible and open up more ways to reward participants.
