How far should I be able to cast a fly? I am good for about 45-60 ft. on my 9ft 8wt rod. Is that enough?
accuracy is more important. If you can hit a can/bottle accurately, your loops will become tighter, the mechanics more evident and the distance cast will naturally start to evolve. for redfish esp. accuracy is key.
