How do you catch yours . Here is one mans way , look easy. Oh and it shows them using boards to catch fish too .

Spill ya guts and tell all you know
cause I am wanting to go after some at Hartwell soon , Thanks Sid
I catch mine at the bait shop! Lol. man sometimes it’s half the fun! When the shad start to hatch is when I like to catch the bb’s that feed on them. That is when I catch my biggest stripers!

Right now the BB are spawning on Murray. They are all over the rip rap on the dam. If the water is flat you can see the schools of bait swimming around and throw the net on them. From now till late July I catch bait in with a hydroglow light at night. Later in the summer Schools of big herring are at the towers. In the middle of the day you can jig them up on sabiki rigs. The schools are huge. You can mark them on the ff and drop the sabiki down and pull them up. You can’t really feel them hit, but the sabiki will stop falling. Not sure about hartwell, but I think spillways are a good place for getting bait.

Steelytom The bait is running the banks at Hartwell now too , got to try and catch them bank runners soon . I will have to try the sabiki rigs in the daytime , thanks.
That’s Right! Around the last of may the shad hatch will start. Those big adult Herring will be feeding on the hatch. That’s a time I don’t want to miss bro! Big fish cash in on it too!
