Headed out way early to try to get to the jetties in a john boat. Brought a trolling rod to catch a King Mackerel, but it was way to rough, so my dad and I went over to Greys Bay for the afternoon. Ended up with 2 blues that took cut mullet on the bottom⌠Never had that happen, and 2 nice 3 foot sharks, one was a Sharpnose I think and the other was a Bonnethead shark. Also a bunch of little 12in baby sharks, who werenât even hooked but wouldnât let go of the bait! All caught on cut mullet.
Sharpnose
Bonnethead
HahaâŚHis tail smacked me guess he deserved payback
All fish were successfully released fully revived to fight againâŚbut bigger!
âIn every species of fish Iâve angled for, it is the ones that have got away that thrill me the most, the ones that keep fresh in my memory. So I say it is good to lose fish. If we didnât, much of the thrill of angling would be gone.â Ray Bergman
