(I accidentally posted this message on the Charleston Fishing Striper website rather than the Midlands website. Meant to post here as everyone is always so helpful with suggestions.) I take my two boys and father on a fishing trip once a year to try something new other than striper fishing. Next on the list is a trip to Santee for a catfish fishing trip. We will need a guide with a pontoon boat. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a guide in that area? As I will have kids, patience will be important. Also, what time of year would you suggest? My youngest wants to fish at night. As we will probably be camping, I am thinking late Spring or early Summer. Would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance for your help.
You can cross post if you’d like but 99.99999% of everyone who posts in here also posts on the Striper forum …

You need to contact Chris Simpson, probably the best catfish guide on Murray. I will see if I can find his phone number.

I second that rick in the past year he landed an 82 PDr and a 97 PDr on Monticello right now through February is the best time to catch a big blue on that lake

Great pictures Donnie. You are making lifetime fishermen out of those boys.
