cats

so I joined a new club of 4800 acres this year near yemmasse right by Cherokee plantation. It is a great place, plenty of deer, hogs, dove and I am coming to realize there is a BUNCH of bobcats. Ive never seen a bobcat while hunting before, so ive never had the chance to kill one. in the past 3 weeks i have seen 2 out of three trips out there. and today when i went to check the cameras i got a nice pic of one passing by. so long story short what is the season on these guys? I defiantly want to get some pelts this year

Not sure off hand, but we had a guy that lives in Columbia join our club in Cottageville just to hunt cats. From hearing him talk, he pretty much does it year round. It must be pretty fun because he has a crap ton of money tied up in it.

check the DNR regulations booklet, pretty plainly stated.

I have killed 2 on my property. But none in the last few years. Have not seen one in 3 years. 10 years ago I would see them all the time. I think the coyotes have run them off.

Hunting, fishing, and poker are my sports. Work when necessary.

if u want the hide consider trappin instead. a rifle bullet makes a substantial hole!

It’s a good thing you didn’t say they were panthers, it would have gotten even more ridiculous. Better luck next time.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
