Well we headed up to our good ol’ super secret river. We got out there on a glass river at about 11:30. We pull up to our high tide spot and get a few hits here and there, moving down the creek picking off at a trout here or there mixed with a few reds. Caught 5 or 6 fish total in the section of the creek. We moved down to a “flat” in the creek and catch a few more reds, the biggest being a fat 22"er. Can’t tell you how many fish we caught in the creek but it had to be about 12-13. We moved to another spot and caught the rest there. Awesome day on the water some good trout too! (18") Trout must be doing real good as that is what we caught the majority of the day. All fish caught in the Cooper and released in the Ashley.
Bait/lure: All fish caught on soft plastics (paddle tails, D.O.A shrimp)
Here is some pics…

“In every species of fish I’ve angled for, it is the ones that have got away that thrill me the most, the ones that keep fresh in my memory. So I say it is good to lose fish. If we didn’t, much of the thrill of angling would be gone.” Ray Bergman
Dfreeedom, with the arties that we used that day, the paddle tails were the best I also threw some random hardbaits like miro-lure but had no takers. You just have to find the pattern that they are taking it on. Vary the retrieve by fishing it near the top or the middle or near the bottom. That day the best way to work em’ was to slowly crawl them across the bottom.
