Had a nice day in BB saturday and brought home a 3/4 cooler of nice shrimp. We were catching nice numbers on a falling tide when Flipper and his buddies decided to stop by our all-u-can-eat shrimp buffet and cut us off. We pulled poles and headed to deep water. Found them on the depth finder and were trying to cooler out but ran out of time. Had to get back to Sumter for a dinner for my neighbor who is going to Afghanistan on Wed. for six months. (Stay safe my friend and thank you for what you do) I wanted to share with you guys how we process our shrimp with a machine I bought off ebay for $50! Its quick and easy and so far is working out great! I just uploaded the video slideshow to Youtube so it should be available to view. Let me know what you think…try not to beat me up to bad!
$50?
You got lucky! Can’t find one anywhere NEAR that price.

I use the same technique but with one of the cheap red, plastic de-sheller, de-veiner…take a little time to prep them and it makes them all the mo betta…

if you can find one of the metal ones, grab it! Much better than the plastic versions. Hard to find though, can’t remember where I got that one and haven’t been able to find another one like it. I “customized” mine by putting an edge on the top with a grinder, splits them open and pulls the shell off even better! (note that those are empty shells on the right…)

Thanks for the info on Thomlinson’s. I’m going there Saturday.
All of the things in pic are in the back right corner on aisle with knives…they also have some really good knives there…Cheap…think they are made by o,d Chesapeake or something like that…at far end of same aisle on left…I bought a filet knife…5.95. And a paring knife. 3.95. And they are awesome…sharp sharp sharp…and hold their edge! Ok…bring me a prize back!
