CB 9/21

Went out last night for our first run of the season. Setup in our favorite spot near crab banks and everything quickly came back into rythm. In fact, I think that was the straightest line our poles have ever been in.

No shrimp until all residual sun light was gone, but once they turned on it was consistent. We had to switch nets about halfway through the night, but that was the ticket. The heavier net increased our average 3x, the lighter net was getting pushed too far with the current.

Weather man was wrong about the wind and I’d say it was blowing 10-12 and made it very tough, but we stuck it our for about 1/4 cooler and then tucked tail. Very confident we could have coolered out, but with one guy swimming by 9:30 we knew the wind had us beat.

Fun night, looking forward for the wind to lay down so we can get at 'em again.

Wouldn’t be a typical night without me taking a swim… Shrimp looked good; all were medium to large with just a few small!

High tide was near sunset. What was your depth on setup and when they really turned on?

High tide and sunset almost planned it together…We setup in about 7 ft just off a channel and by the time they turned on we were in 5.5.

Thanks Dave
