There were quite a few boats out on CB tonight, outgoing tide, and weather was perfect. For us they never turned on. All were large, but only a few per cast. Pulled poles about 9:30 w/ just the bottom of the cooler covered. It was like 2103…
Anybody do well tonight??? If we had stayed till tide turned think may have done better, but just couldn’t stay that late tonight.
Yeh we were out there also and only got 4 qts headed, but at a pound to pound and a half a qt we figured we paid for the trip with what we caught.
There ain’t no But in Black and White
It will be a few more days til they come back there.
Scrimped CB Friday night and as soon as it got dark seems that the water slowed, our first run was the best ended up with 1/3 cooler.
We got out there at CB at around 730pm shrimping the outgoing tide. Set poles in 5 to 5.5 ft of water. Put a nail in the baitballs (pro tip from someone else here on CF) to ward off the dolphin. I think it ATTRACTED the dolphin! We hadn’t even finished putting the bait balls in the water and the dolphin were ALL OVER the poles! I don’t understand it! Shrimp were not there, so I’m assuming there are a plethora of dolphin with ripped up sphincters this morning.
Life is like a piece of doodoo…no matter if it sinks or floats…you always get flushed in the end
Again. It will be a couple more days til they r back.
