North side of CB tonight, was a beautiful evening, glass on the harbor, another classic sunset. Outgoing tide w/ good current flow. Caught 1st shrimp at 7:45, 1st 4 runs were average 6-10 shrimp a cast, nice size, mostly large. Flipper visited us and never picked back up. Did a few more runs, but the run that started at 9pm -1 shrimp/cast w/lots of biat fish. Pulled poles at 915. Ended up w/ just under 1/4 cooler. If I didn’t have to work tomorrow would have anchored for a while to see if they turned back on. Seems those around us similar results. Would have liked to catch more shrimp, but beers and dinner on the water w/ a good bud, and meeting another great guy who caught his 1st shrimp ever tonight made for a great evening. Hope others out there did better thna us or enjoyed it as much.
We were on the other side of CB in ~ 8ft of water for my first shrimping trip. Only 3-5/cast, but fair size. We wore out around the same time and were back at the ramp by 930 or so
