CB Tuesday Night

Everything was dead calm… Calm water, Calm wind, Calm temperature etc. No shrimp. I think they were sitting in a hole somewhere drinking Mai Tai’s and laughing at us.

Oh well - had a nice night on the water!

Dang! You didn’t catch any???

I had my friends I grew up with In town for shrimping last Friday. Went to my spot on crab bank and bam. One shrimp… Ended up quiting pretty early.

Also noticed all the fellas lined up perpendicular to crab bank or mount pleasant. Crazy. They usually all set up parallel with it. Crazy stuff must have been fun going against that current the whole time

Not 1 shrimp. Fished the 2 hours of outgoing tide, and then since we had extra bait already made up and heck we were on a boat had nothing better to do - decided to wait for incoming and fished first 45-1 hour of that. Nothing…

Same exact spot 1 week earlier did fairly well. I think the water was just to clear and calm.

same thing happened to me last night at pats point, i was totally blown away!!! IVE NEVER BEEN OUT AND ONLY CAUGHT ONE SHRIMP!

can you swim 5 miles? “NO” then what is the difference in 5 miles and 50 miles!!! Go for it!

Tried last night (Thur) at CB. Threw blind for a while looking for them. Water was very clear. You could see bottom. No shrimp. Since I’ve never shrimped at CB and there were no other boats out there, we headed to a spot in the Ashley I knew had shrimp (small/med).

Anyone have any pointers on where to shrimp at CB? I thought maybe on the inside of the moon looked promising (google maps) but have no idea. The bottom is mostly sand and shells, which is a bit different than the muddy rivers I’m used to.
