CCASC STAR TOURNAMENT...UPDATE

UPDATE…

Still no captures! Last day to register is Monday September 4th at 5pm!

We will be awarding a registered participant one of the tournament prizes regardless if a fish is recovered! You need to register if you have not already!

All the reds I catch say they haven’t seen any tagged fish. They’re keeping an eye out for me.

Maybe they all died after being tagged and released. Scientists tell us that many* fish die after being captured.

After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.

God bless the “ignore” function.

Well…Its like this:

This boat will be awarded to a registered participant regardless if a fish is captured during the tournament.

So…I would recommend registering if you have not done so!

If a fish is not captured by Monday, We are going to award this boat at the CCA Pee Dee Chapter Banquet on Thursday September 7th!!

I’m assuming the winner will not have to be present to win?

God bless the “ignore” function.

There was a post that asked how many people were in it…where did that go?

Spent all day on the Wando looking for a tagged red. No luck for me. I was really hoping to bring a new boat home!

Is attendance required?

I would like to know if attendance is required as well. I certainly hope not…

I saw a post on CCA’s FB page that stated you do not have to be present to win. You merely have to have been registered for the STAR tournament.

God bless the “ignore” function.

Thanks Bangstick,I would like to know how many are registered

I’d like to know how many registrants they had for their first STAR tournament too. I know STAR is huge in TX, LA and FL. I think it could be in SC too.

God bless the “ignore” function.

Update…Sorry for not replying to some of the earlier post! Dropped a quadpod on my leg(long story!) and a little under the weather!

You DO NOT have to be present to win! National office did a random selection of the winner and it has been sent to us in a sealed envelope to open at our (Pee Dee Chapter) Banquet tomorrow night!

Our goal was 500+ participants and I know we came up short for our first year. We still consider it a huge success and some lucky participant will be a new boat owner tomorrow!

Thanks to all that participated in our first annual STAR Tournament!

I also understand there will be a live Facebook feed of the opening of the envelope.

Mike,
What time is that FB Feed
the “JG”

PS
if Carol didn’t have to work Friday we would be there - you guys put on a great banquet.

Between 715 and 745.

Maybe yall could call it the CCA Pee Dee Irma Hurricane Party and get those on the road for the evacuation to attend. You could even use the boat and all its logos for storm surge recovery efforts and get some good pub for CCA.

Anyone know who won the boat?
