Just moved to the area 8/1, what is the process here for getting a concealed carry permit? Wife and I both had them in our last state of residence as well as having Utah ccw permit.Thanks in advance

go to 8 hour class. fill out paperwork. get printed. send prints to SLED.

I would call ATP or RPM gunshops

Yep, go to the SLED website and it’ll list requirements. The class will cost you 50-100 and I think the license is 50-75 for four or five years.

Four year permit. What was your last state? SC has reciprocity.

Thanks for the responses, last state was CT.
Already had to do the NRA class for CT permit with I have to another class or will they accept that?

Probably have to retake the class regardless. I had a NC permit while I lived up there and had to retake the class here in SC regardless of my previous class.

Verify this for yourself, but I’m pretty sure South Carolina’s reciprocity only pertains to thise from certain states who are visiting or passing through SC, not for people who have permits in other states who are moving to SC…New residents have to take the course here in SC…
