Center Console Windshield

Does anyone store their center console in a garage?
If so, have you come up with an easy way to remove the windshield and grab bar that most center consoles have?

Most boats are 93-95" tall on trailer. I only have about 84" to top of garage.

Take out screws. Install 2 stainless hinges on front of windshield. Install female thread inserts where screws were on side of console. Use a bolt with wing nuts to tighten. This way you can flip the windshield down.

Great idea! Any thoughts on the grab bar?

cut it and slip on a piece of aluminum or stainless, whatever you have, that is a coochie hair larger or smaller than the existing tubing tubing (depending on whether you want an innie or outie joint). then drill and bolt. not the prettiest setup, but we had a boat with this same deal. remove windshield and grab bar, fit into garage with 2" to spare.

Buy a $20 silver tarp at WalMart with the ball bungi’s & leave outside. Beats taking off the grab bar & windshield every time. Working the boat into the grarage got old.

I put in the boat in the garage for wintertime repair work, need to take off trailer wheels and slide in on dollies, rather than taking off the windshile & grab bar

Thanks for the ideas.

Eric- If I had the option to leave it outside, I would…but not when I live in a subdivision that will fine me if I do.
