First of all if you are “new guy” or “ConcreteGarden” let me know or I will delete you by the end of this week.
#1 calm like a bomb explodes back to the top of the leaderboard with shorts in DARA and SHZ. I think he is trying to set a record by having to buy and cover his short play on SHZ with 11 trades each…
#2 Bitesize stays in second with a less than impressive performance today
#3 Matt Billder hangs around 3rd with his strong play in DRI…back in the day that was a punk band with some wicked lyrics!
#22 skinneej still thinks that TAP (yep, Coors etc) short will pay up. What he doesn’t know is that I have been buying lots of beer lately!
#23 shamrock hanging around the bottom although he did have a nice day today.
#24 Concrete Garden - in last place and I don’t know who you are. if this is you please email me or I will delete you soon. 10 shares of Birkshire Hathaway’s A stock…ouch!
Biggest winner today: calm like a bomb…blowing us out of the water
Biggest loser today: Mulvey
Thanks for playing. Please return your chairs to their original position when you leave…
Fritz has 191% of his equity locked up in WB. I have to say you might have a great play over the next few weeks Fritz! Short term the Williams Percent R is in the middle of the range…Implied volatility is also in the middle of the range but looking up…stochastics and MACD are low and rising…holy hell, you got a good one there Fritz! if you get a breakout up with volume confirming the move that will be key!
look at some of the guys’ order history and see how they “shorted” certain stocks. this means they are betting that stock will go down, not up. Long = go up. Short = go down. if you sell a stock short (betting it will go down) then if that trade goes against you then you must buy the stock to cover that position (short covering). basic stock psychology is if a stock has a nice run up then it must check back down at some point, and vice versa. other stocks continue to go up and others continue to go down. welcome to the wonderful world of equities!
“I think he is trying to set a record by having to buy and cover his short play on SHZ with 11 trades each”…
VSE did it again when I bought DARA…I’ve been saying for a week that I’m still handcuffed by the super-duper VSE system to buying and selling everything in $21,500 increments…evidenced by the two thousand and two trades already listed on their site I had to place.
Sitting there with $1,177,374.57 and I get to use roughly $21,500 a pop…SUPER!!!
I told you I set it up so you would have to trade like forty eleven times to get an order placed. Seems to be working though doesn’t it?
Nice trading by the way…you are doing very well!
