I have extended the game until 12/31/08 and have reduced the minimum stock price to zero, meaning that ALL stocks are now eligible.
We can still post monthly winners.
I would still like suggestions about how to reward the winners (monthly and overall).
we could work it that way…the bottom half of the players buy the rounds for the upper half, proportionally of course. anybody got any pull at a local bar? some place where we could all get together and celebrate? I’ll bring the signs!
Just because you and Notsoskinneej are battling for last place after 3 days you decide to extend the game until the end of the year? WTF, I guess I will enjoy this daytrading while I can. Once my season starts in a month or so I will not have any time to throw at this “GAME”…

And also I think by making it that long of a game you just killed it. Sure people may stay interested for another few weeks but I am curious to see who is still actively playing the game by July.

Fritz, I asked for input from all the players and got responses across the board. If you would like to create a short-term game then be my guest. I created this game to appeal to the majority. They have spoken and I have responded. Thank you for playing so far. you are in 3rd place and I encourage you to hang around and play. with 19 players how on Earth can I please everyone?
With an extended game we can still crown short term winners, which I plan to do.
If your season starts in a month then you would not have made it to the end of the original game anyways. Glad you are here, but if you bow out then we will still move forward.
Hell why don’t we go ahead and extend the game for 5 years.

I created a game and invited CF.com’ers to come and play. Bottom line…this is MY game, structured around the opinions of other CF.com players, of which you are one.
I would like for you to hang around Fritz, because you are an outspoken character on CF.com and I would like to have your thoughts and opinions in this game. In all honesty I will prolly still play this game with day trades. Try to make a buck then exit the trade.
Think about it this way; if I make an extended game then day traders can operate within the parameters. If I made a short term game then the long term players would be ■■■■■ out of luck, not enough time for their strategies.
I did change the minimum to zero. look under GAME RULES and it should say “Minimum Trade Price: No minimum” That’s what I see. If you see something different please let me know ASAP.
That seems weird seeing as how you were talking about strategies earlier and one of the best strategies in the market sometimes is to be liquid sitting on the sidelines waiting to make a move.

There are certain parameters you can change after the game has started and some you cannot. when I set this game up I chose to have zero interest on cash balances because it was a 2 month game and I didn't want to reward people staying in cash. The interest rate cannot be changed once the game begins...period.
Fritz, if you wanna set up your own game be my guest. I will prolly sign up and play. The rules in this game that are flexible I have put up to a vote. The rest stay as-is, and cannot be changed.
EDIT: I messed up your quote from above but it relates to Fritz’ comment regarding staying in cash.
Strategies, you wanna talk about strategies? Stratagies?
</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>
I would love to hear about your strategies. Mine are to stick and move. Cash in (or out) then move on. Because there are no commissions charged in this game I will make a slam TON of moves, this is my strategy.

buy them when they are beat up and ride the wave a little bit and get out. I had a 4 hour meeting with 20k shares of WB this afternoon that bought me a nice used flats boat.
