Bryant,

I spoke to you on the phone and sent you an email awhile back. I don’t know if it was the conversation that you were thinking of but I built an underwater housing for a dual 450 lumen (I think) set of LED lights that I built for gig walking or walking gigging (whatever the correct term is). I have only tried it 3 or 4 times and haven’t seen anything that was big enough to stab. Next time I build one I will probably try and completely revamp the design and add more lights. They are bright, but the spread could be better.

I ordered the lights on Amazon for about $4.30 each, the wire pigtails for $4.00. The bill of lading was from China, so it took a few weeks. All of the stuff that I used for the housing was from the hardware store or my garage. ($20-30) I run a mini 12-V that I got from Batteries plus for $50. I put the battery in the pocket of my fishing vest or foul weather gear and it runs the LEDs as long as I have ever needed it.

Bill aka narcosis. I tried to look you up but couldn’t find you. You are the man I’m talking about. I will email you on my lunch. More light is always a good thing around Charleston’s tea colored water.

Red, I will put up some picks of the one I built.

Narcosis do the same. I would love to see yours as well. I also bought some lights from fishinglightsect the threesided 24 inch ones. But I want to experiment with making my own. I hear you can build way more powerful for cheaper yourself.
