Good thing for him he would be facing acc defenses.

Watson is one of those kids who just gets it. He’ll make mistakes early but see playing time in mop up until he’s ready. Stoudt is a dang good QB as it is. Schuessler showed a lot of poise in the SG and may surprise some people.
They also have another QB on the recruiting side, Israel I think, that is another that fits the scheme well.
After watching the SG, Kelly wasn’t very impressive, back to back picks trying to force things. Add his disciplinary issue to date and it might be the best thing for the entire team. Rumor is Kelly was PO’d that Watson was getting the press and that he was having to actually compete for the position. Entitlement mentality and trying to live off his uncle’s name is my guess. Not exactly a team type player IMO.

I gotta give Dabo some credit. As a coach you need to also mentor. This kid started out cocky, and Dabo gave him over a year. At some point the question becomes is it better to try to help him and keep him around. Or kick him to the curb.
In this case, I think he made the right decision.
Dabo, while a bit goofy and extremely passionate, really seems to care about these kids and I applaud him for that. I think that also really helps with recruiting as that’s the pitch to momma.
Yeah, Fritz, I know about Joe Gore and Deandre but those things happened in his first year and he was growing at the time.

Kelly was also kicked off his HS team. He wasn’t escorted off campus by police as they were investigating a accident with his car and someone else driving. Deff some good rumors going around up here.
