air sea safety

I’m now at www.teamcharlestonmarine.com

I did not have a very good experience with Air Sea Safety. I sent an email to them about a replacement battery on my McMurdo EPIRB–they never responded. After a few weeks I called…left several messages and they never bothered to return them. I tried again and finally spoke with someone, and they weren’t very friendly. The individual I spoke with could not give me an exact price, only a range. I gave up on them and went here:

I’ve done business with this outfit numerous times with no problems. This was no exception. Got my EPIRB back in less than a week.

“Never argue with an idiot…he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.”

thanks, I will try one of them out!

My experience was that Air Sea and Safety were very friendly, but their price was about a $100 higher than I could find elswhere, but I didn’t have to pay shipping and got it done local.

Bring on the 2-3 chop!

You can send it back to the EPIRB manufacturer, which is what air sea did with my ACR unit years ago. They just charge you extra for it. This is something that can be your “one shot” to get a call out for help if the **** hits the fan. Don’t look for a bargain or quickie. Send it back to the manufacturer, where it will be done right, and inspected to make sure everything else is good to go.

I do not recommend air sea safety for anything.
