CHANGING THE NAME OF A BOAT

What is the thought on changing the name on a boat. I am buying a used boat but not crazy about the name on her. I have always heard it was bad luck to do this. Any thoughts???

I wouldn’t take it too serious  But if you do, do it like this

quote:
12. NAME CHANGE Its bad luck to change the name of a boat. but if you have to: write the soon-to-be-exorcised name on a piece of paper, fold the paper, and place it in a small cardboard or wooden box. Burn the box. Scoop up the ashes and throw them into the sea on an outgoing tide. If you live on a lake, do it at night and only during a new moon. River dwellers should send the ashes downstream.

What is the name of it now?

“Good things come to those who bait”

Thoughts? It’s YOUR boat. Name it anything you like! That bad luck thing is just an old wives tale, unlike black cats and the number 13.

Tidewater 196DC
Yamaha F115

Pungo 120

you just have to do it properly to avoid bad luck
