Headed over next weekend for a few day and will be staying in the city. Bringing the yaks, any suggestions for good launch spots where we could fish? Looking for quiet spots close to the city, IOP an option?

A great launch spot is Paradise Island, up 17 a little ways, will be on the left, but lots of really good fishing, reds, trout and flounder. You could always try Copahee Sound, it’s also up 17, will be on your right. And by 17, I mean headed north through Mount Pleasant. Shem Creek is another spot you could launch. It is in Mount Pleasant, the ramp is on Simmons St. I’ve never launched on IOP but imagine you could do so from the Wild Dunes Marina. Best of luck!
