Charleston Deep Water Reef

Does anyone know if SAMFC or DNR (or anyone) ever published GPS coordinates for the various parts and pieces within and around the Charleston Deep Water Reef MPA?

This article on the SC Memorial Reef web site says that NOAA located several of the structures, but I don’t see any numbers:

This SAMFC site gives coordinates for the four corners of the MPA. But, I recall that some of the structures may have drifted outside of the MPA while sinking, and I’m not sure if they wound up modifying the MPA boundaries.

If these numbers are public information, I’d like to plug them into my machine to provide another option for trolling.

Thanks!

Not sure if DNR made them public, but if you’re good at Google they can be found rather quickly.

Scoobie, Try this http://www.dnr.sc.gov/artificialreefs/docs/ReefGuide2015.pdf you can also download it as a data file

These numbers will get you pretty close to most of the individual structures. You might have to hunt around looking at your bottom machine a little and then “tweak” your mark/waypoint based on what you see below.

Hope this helps

Thanks, I have the exact coordinates. Was trying to help Chad out without posting #'s if they weren’t public (didn’t think the exact ones were). Like most fishermen, I think you should have to put it some time and work a little for your #'s, even if it’s a 5 minute search on Google.
